Education in Limpopo are investigating suspected food poisoning after 35 pupils were rushed to the hospital in Malamulele. The Limpopo department confirmed that 22 pupils were rushed to the hospital after vomiting on Wednesday, and the second group of the pupils was rushed to the hospital after complaining about headache and stomach cramps

The department of education told the parents not to panic as the situation is still under control and the investigation will be done thoroughly to ensure that learners are kept safe all the time, besides the department will submit food sample that was eaten on Wednesday for testing to ascertain if the school nutrition rations could have been a cause, to assist in investigation lastly the department will also check food sold by vendors outside the school premises with the help of health inspector.
