Wanted fugitive Former Eskom contractor Michael Lomas is being extradited to South Africa from the United Kingdom, but Lomas said he has mental illness and he is suffering from depression and is suicidal

Michael Lomas has landed in South Africa, as he faces corruption and fraud charges amounting to 1.5bn, that took a place at Kusile Power Station between the year 2008 to 2018, he has been arrested since 2021 in United Kingdom after the NPA asked for assistant from the international police regarding the cases he has to attend in South Africa . Michael Lomas is expected to appear in Kempton Park Magistrates court.

Four senior Eskom officials are already part of the matter as they face the charges of fraud, corruption and money laundering however the charges faced they are not the same as Michael Lomas
