Lerato is a multitalented performing artist with over fifteen years of experience in various roles within the industry. Despite the challenges of being a woman in a male dominated industry, she has risen to the top and has an award to prove it.
Work Experience
Her work experience is as diverse as her talents. Lerato is not only a skilled performer but also an accomplished scriptwriter, voice-over artist, facilitator, producer, and poet. She has been involved in numerous projects, events, and festivals, taking on both directorial and production roles. Her portfolio includes work with the Johannesburg Development Agency, Shimba Marketing and Distribution, Gomacc, DSACR, Wits University, Khaya Media, South African State Theatre, and many more.
Achievements and Awards
Lerato’s dynamic career has earned her numerous awards and honour. In 2016, she received recognition for her various roles at the South African State Theatre. She also won two awards for Best Upcoming Artist and Best Production at Tswane University in 2015.
Currently, Lerato is showcasing her acting skills and project management expertise in “Last Kiss,” a theatre play subtitled ‘Love, Lust & a Little Secret.’ The play is written by Nomveliso Tshabalala, directed by Matlakala Motaung & Linda Waka Shabangu, produced by Dineo Mnyanga, choreographed by Sphiwe Phiri. The performance is scheduled for the 30th of September at Alex San Kopano.
